Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 55

[55] Is [a mind (citta)] that has arisen, arising? At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa), it has arisen, but it is not arising; at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa), it both has arisen and is arising. Is [a mind] that is arising, arisen? Yes. Is [a mind] that has not arisen, not arising? Yes. Is [a mind] that is not arising, not arisen? At the moment of dissolution, it is not arising, but it is not the case that it has not arisen; past and future mind neither is arising nor has arisen.
