๑. ทำสัตว์ที่มีชีวิตให้ตกล่วงไป

Vinayapiṭaka · Mahāvagga (1) · Vol. 4 · Section 136

[136] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus gave dependence (nissaya) to shameless (alajjī) bhikkhus. They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, dependence is not to be given to the shameless; whoever should give it commits an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)." Now at that time bhikkhus lived in dependence on the shameless. Before very long they too became shameless, bad bhikkhus (pāpabhikkhū). They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, one is not to live in dependence on the shameless; whoever should so live commits an offence of wrong-doing." Then this occurred to the bhikkhus: "It has been laid down by the Blessed One that dependence is not to be given to the shameless, and that one is not to live in dependence on the shameless. How then shall we know one who is scrupulous (lajjī) or shameless?" They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, I allow you to wait four or five days, thinking: 'until I come to know the bhikkhu's compatibility (sabhāgatā).'"
