[101] Dependent on an indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon (dhamma), an indeterminate phenomenon arises, not by path condition (na-magga-paccayā):
Dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) that is resultant-indeterminate (vipākābyākata) or functional-indeterminate (kiriyābyākata), three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise; dependent on three aggregates, one aggregate and mind-originated materiality arise; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and mind-originated materiality arise. At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on one resultant-indeterminate aggregate, three aggregates and kamma-born materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa) arise; dependent on three aggregates, one aggregate and kamma-born materiality arise; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and kamma-born materiality arise. Dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) arises; dependent on the base, the aggregates arise. Dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements arise; dependent on three primary elements, one primary element arises; dependent on the primary elements, mind-originated materiality and kamma-born materiality that is derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa) arise.
