[1078] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā), a phenomenon associated with painful feeling arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): Dependent on one aggregate (khandha) associated with painful feeling, two aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, one aggregate [arises].
