[1085] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated (sampayutta) with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā), a phenomenon associated with painful feeling arises by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) associated with painful feeling, two aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, one aggregate [arises]; [dependent on] the base (vatthu) — by dissociation condition.
