[1089] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā), a phenomenon associated with painful feeling arises, not by root condition (na-hetu-paccaya). Dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by pain, accompanied by body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), two aggregates arise; dependent on two aggregates, one aggregate arises.
