[1090] In dependence on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated (sampayutta) with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling (adukkhamasukhā vedanā), there arises a phenomenon associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling, not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā). In dependence on one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate (khandha) associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling, two aggregates arise; in dependence on two aggregates, one aggregate arises. At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), in dependence on one aggregate associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling, two aggregates arise; in dependence on two aggregates, one aggregate arises. In dependence on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), there arises the delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness.
