[1179] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā) is a condition (paccaya), by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya), for a phenomenon associated with painful feeling: The preceding aggregates (khandhā) associated with painful feeling are in each case a condition, by repetition condition, for the succeeding aggregates associated with painful feeling.
