Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (1) · Vol. 40 · Section 1245

[1245] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is neither a result nor productive of results (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma), there arises a phenomenon that is neither a result nor productive of results, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) that is neither a result nor productive of results, three aggregates arise; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates arise. Dependent on a phenomenon that is neither a result nor productive of results, there arises a phenomenon that is a result (vipāka), by object condition: at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on the base (vatthu), the resultant aggregates arise.
