[1365] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is neither resultant nor productive of result (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon that is neither resultant nor productive of result by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya): the preceding aggregates (khandhā) that are neither resultant nor productive of result are a condition for the subsequent aggregates that are neither resultant nor productive of result by immediacy condition.
A phenomenon that is neither resultant nor productive of result is a condition for a resultant (vipāka) phenomenon by immediacy condition: adverting (āvajjana) is a condition for the five consciousnesses (viññāṇa) by immediacy condition; the aggregates that are neither resultant nor productive of result [are a condition] for emergence (vuṭṭhāna); the Arahant's conformity (anuloma) [is a condition] for the attainment of fruition (phalasamāpatti); for one emerging from cessation (nirodha), the functional (kiriya) [attainment of] the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) is a condition for the attainment of fruition by immediacy condition.
A phenomenon that is neither resultant nor productive of result is a condition for a phenomenon productive of result (vipākadhammadhamma) by immediacy condition: adverting is a condition for the aggregates that are productive of result by immediacy condition.
