[1589] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not clung to (anupādinna) and not subject to clinging (anupādāniya) is a condition, by path condition (magga-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging.
That is, path factors (maggaṅga) that are not clung to but subject to clinging are a condition, by path condition, for the associated aggregates (sampayuttaka-khandha) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
