[1609] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) is a condition for a phenomenon that is clung to and subject to clinging and for one that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya) by presence condition (atthi-paccaya): conascent, postnascent, nutriment (āhāra).
Conascent: one aggregate (khandha) that is clung to and subject to clinging is a condition for the three aggregates and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by presence condition; two aggregates are a condition for two aggregates and for mind-originated forms by presence condition.
Postnascent: the aggregates that are clung to and subject to clinging are a condition for this prenascent body that is clung to and subject to clinging and not clung to but subject to clinging, by presence condition.
Edible nutriment (kabaḷīkārāhāra) that is clung to and subject to clinging is a condition for the body that is clung to and subject to clinging and not clung to but subject to clinging, by presence condition.
