[238] Conascent (sahajāta) with an indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma), an indeterminate phenomenon arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Conascent with one aggregate (khandha) that is resultant indeterminate (vipākābyākata) or functional indeterminate (kiriyābyākata), there arise three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); conascent with three aggregates, there arise one aggregate and mind-originated materiality; conascent with two aggregates, there arise two aggregates and mind-originated materiality. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), conascent with one aggregate that is resultant indeterminate, there arise three aggregates and kamma-born materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa); conascent with three aggregates, there arise one aggregate and kamma-born materiality; conascent with two aggregates, there arise two aggregates and kamma-born materiality; conascent with the aggregates, there arises the base (vatthu); conascent with the base, there arise the aggregates. Conascent with one great essential (mahābhūta), there arise three great essentials; conascent with three great essentials, there arises one great essential; conascent with two great essentials, there arise two great essentials; conascent with the great essentials, there arise mind-originated materiality and kamma-born materiality — that is, derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa).
