Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (1) · Vol. 40 · Section 256

[256] Conditioned by a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma), a wholesome phenomenon arises through the predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): conditioned by one wholesome aggregate (khandha) — three [answers]. Conditioned by an unwholesome phenomenon (akusala dhamma), an unwholesome phenomenon arises through the predominance condition: conditioned by one unwholesome aggregate — three [answers]. Conditioned by an indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma), an indeterminate phenomenon arises through the predominance condition: conditioned by one resultant-indeterminate (vipākābyākata) or functional-indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) aggregate, three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; conditioned by one primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements [arise]; conditioned by the primary elements, mind-originated materiality [that is] derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa) [arises]; conditioned by the base (vatthu), resultant-indeterminate and functional-indeterminate aggregates [arise]. Conditioned by an indeterminate phenomenon, a wholesome phenomenon arises through the predominance condition: conditioned by the base, wholesome aggregates [arise]. As with the root condition (hetu-paccaya), so should it be expanded in detail.
