[289] Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon (dhamma), a wholesome phenomenon arises by not-kamma-result condition (na-vipāka-paccaya): dependent on one wholesome aggregate (khandha) … three [sections]. Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon … three [sections]. Dependent on an indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon, an indeterminate phenomenon arises by not-kamma-result condition: dependent on one functional-indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) aggregate, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise] … dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and mind-originated form [arise]; dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements [arise] … dependent on the primary elements, mind-originated form [and] derivative form (upādā-rūpa) [arise]; external [form] … nutriment-originated [form] … temperature-originated [form]; for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), dependent on one primary element, three primary elements [arise] … dependent on the primary elements, kamma-born form (kaṭattā-rūpa) [and] derivative form [arise]; dependent on the base (vatthu), functional-indeterminate aggregates [arise]. Dependent on an indeterminate phenomenon, a wholesome phenomenon arises by not-kamma-result condition: dependent on the base, wholesome aggregates [arise]. Setting aside the resultant (vipāka), [the exposition] should be given in full throughout.
