Anulomatikapaṭṭhānakusalattikapaṭiccavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (1) · Vol. 40 · Section 48

[48] Could a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) arise dependent on a wholesome phenomenon by root condition (hetu-paccaya), but not by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya)? Could an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon arise dependent on a wholesome phenomenon by root condition, but not by object condition? Just as the root condition was elaborated in detail in the positive (anuloma) method, so too, in the positive-negative (anuloma-paccanīya) method, should the wording (pada) be elaborated in detail.
