[513] A wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma) is a condition for an indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon by contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya): the wholesome for emergence (vuṭṭhāna); the path (magga) for fruition (phala); the conformity (anuloma) of trainees (sekkha) for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti); for one emerging from cessation (nirodha), the wholesome [consciousness] of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (nevasaññānāsaññāyatana) is a condition for the attainment of fruition by contiguity condition.
