[1004] A phenomenon (dhamma) whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) and for a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); it is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya); it is a condition by way of prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya).
