[994] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by seeing and for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva-dassanena-na-bhāvanāya-pahātabba-hetuka) by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
