[1049] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) leading to accumulation (ācayagāmī), a phenomenon leading to accumulation arises, by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya). Three [cases]. Leading to dispersal (apacayagāmī): three [cases]. Neither leading to accumulation nor to dispersal (nevācayagāmināpacayagāmī) … Conditioned by one [aggregate] that is neither leading to accumulation [nor to dispersal] … conditioned by the base (vatthu), [there arise] aggregates (khandhā) that are neither leading to accumulation nor to dispersal. Conditioned by a phenomenon that is neither leading to accumulation nor to dispersal, a phenomenon leading to accumulation … . Here too, the combinations (ghaṭanā) are similar to [those under] the root condition (hetu).
