[1115] A phenomenon leading to accumulation (ācayagāmī dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon neither leading to accumulation nor leading to dispersal (nevācayagāmināpacayagāmī) by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive support: In dependence on faith (saddhā) that leads to accumulation, one torments oneself, tortures oneself, and experiences suffering (dukkha) rooted in seeking. In dependence on virtue (sīla) that leads to accumulation … wisdom (paññā), lust (rāga) … wish (patthanā), one torments oneself, tortures oneself, and experiences suffering rooted in seeking.
Faith that leads to accumulation … wisdom, lust … wish is a condition for bodily pleasure, for bodily suffering, and for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti) by decisive-support condition.
Wholesome and unwholesome kamma is a condition for its result (vipāka) by decisive-support condition.
