[1121] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is neither leading to accumulation nor leading to dispersal (nevācayagāmi-nāpacayagāmī) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon leading to dispersal (apacayagāmī): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: in dependence on bodily pleasure (kāyika sukha) one gives rise to the path (magga); bodily pain (kāyika dukkha) … in dependence on a lodging (senāsana) one gives rise to the path. Bodily pleasure … bodily pain … a lodging is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for the path.
