[1120] A phenomenon (dhamma) neither leading to accumulation nor to dispersal (nevācayagāmināpacayagāmī) is a condition for a phenomenon leading to accumulation (ācayagāmī) by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive support: In dependence on bodily pleasure one gives a gift (dāna) … gives rise to an attainment (samāpatti), kills a living being, causes a schism in the Saṅgha. In dependence on bodily pain … climate (utu), food … lodging, one gives a gift … causes a schism in the Saṅgha. Bodily pleasure … lodging is a condition for faith (saddhā) that leads to accumulation, for wisdom (paññā), for lust (rāga), for aspiration (patthanā), by way of decisive-support condition.
