[122] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought and examination (savitakka-savicāra) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought and with mere examination (avitakka-vicāramatta) and for a phenomenon without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra).
Roots with thought and examination are a condition, by root condition, for thought (vitakka) and for forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), roots with thought and examination are a condition, by root condition, for thought and for forms born of kamma performed (kaṭattā-rūpa).
