[1235] A trainee phenomenon (sekkha dhamma) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for both a trainee phenomenon and a neither-trainee-nor-adept phenomenon (nevasekkhanāsekkha dhamma): Trainee roots (hetū) are a condition, by root condition, for the associated aggregates (sampayuttaka-khandhā) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhānā rūpā).
