[1475] A limited (paritta) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for a limited phenomenon by decisive support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive support: In dependence on limited faith (saddhā), one gives a gift (dāna), undertakes virtue (sīla), performs the uposatha observance (uposathakamma), arouses insight (vipassanā), conceives conceit (māna), grasps a view (diṭṭhi).
In dependence on limited virtue … wisdom (paññā), lust (rāga), longing (patthanā), bodily pleasure … a lodging (senāsana), one gives a gift, virtue … the uposatha observance … arouses insight, kills a living being, causes schism in the Saṅgha.
Limited faith … wisdom, lust, longing, bodily pleasure … a lodging is a condition for limited faith, for wisdom, for lust, for longing, for bodily pleasure, for bodily pain by decisive support condition.
Wholesome and unwholesome kamma is a condition for [its] result (vipāka) by decisive support condition. The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) is a condition for the destruction of life by decisive support condition. The cycle (cakka) should be worked out.
The act of matricide (mātughātikamma) is a condition for the act of matricide by decisive support condition. The cycle should be worked out as in the wholesome triad (kusalattika).
