[1882] A phenomenon having the path as root (maggahetuka) and a phenomenon (dhamma) having the path as predominance (maggādhipati) are a condition for a phenomenon having the path as predominance by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); they are a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
