[2142] A phenomenon (dhamma) with an internal object (ajjhattārammaṇa) is a condition for a phenomenon with an internal object by root condition (hetu-paccaya): Roots (hetū) with an internal object are a condition for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandhā) by root condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), roots with an internal object are a condition for the associated aggregates.
