[2153] A phenomenon with an external object (bahiddhārammaṇo dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with an external object by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya).
Each preceding set of aggregates (khandhā) with an external object is a condition for each subsequent set of aggregates with an external object by immediacy condition.
Conformity (anuloma) with an external object is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū); conformity, for cleansing (vodāna); change-of-lineage, for the path (magga); cleansing, for the path; the path, for fruition (phala); fruition, for fruition; conformity, for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti) — by immediacy condition.
