[2232] An invisible and non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for a visible and impinging (sanidassana-sappaṭigha) phenomenon by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya).
Invisible and non-impinging nutriments (āhāra) are a condition for visible and impinging mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by nutriment condition.
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), invisible and non-impinging nutriments are a condition for visible and impinging kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa) by nutriment condition.
Edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) is a condition for this visible and impinging body by nutriment condition.
In this way the seven questions (pañhā) should be analyzed as to the course of existence (pavatti) and rebirth-linking; in all seven, edible nutriment should be included.
