[447] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and with discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) [are a condition (paccaya)] for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought … [there are four kinds, namely:] conascence (sahajāta), postnascence (pacchājāta), nutriment (āhāra), and faculty (indriya).
