[645] In dependence on a phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabba), a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing arises, not by kamma-result condition (na-vipāka-paccaya). [This is to be given] in full. There is no rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi).
… Not by nutriment condition (na-āhāra-paccaya): external [materiality] (bāhira) … temperature-originated [materiality] (utu-samuṭṭhāna) … for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) …
… Not by faculty condition (na-indriya-paccaya): external [materiality] … nutriment-originated [materiality] (āhāra-samuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated [materiality] … for the non-percipient beings, the material life-faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya) [arises] in dependence on the primary elements (mahābhūtā).
