Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 746

[746] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabba) and a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva dassanena na bhāvanāya pahātabba) are a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development: conascent (sahajāta), postnascent (pacchājāta), nutriment (āhāra), faculty (indriya). Conascent: aggregates (khandhā) to be abandoned by seeing and the primary elements (mahābhūtā) are a condition, by presence condition, for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa). Postnascent: aggregates to be abandoned by seeing and edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) are a condition, by presence condition, for this body. Postnascent: aggregates to be abandoned by seeing and the material life faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya) are a condition, by presence condition, for kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa).
