[770] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka) and on a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka), a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by seeing arises, by root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) and on delusion (moha), three aggregates arise; dependent on two aggregates and on delusion, two aggregates arise.
