[865] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) arises conjoined with (saṃsaṭṭha) a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by development and a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka), due to object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya):
