[895] A phenomenon having roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by mental development (nevadassanena-nabhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuko dhammo) is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), both for a phenomenon having roots to be abandoned by mental development (bhāvanāya-pahātabbahetuka) and for a phenomenon having roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by mental development. The eye (cakkhu) … the base (vatthu) … Taking as object the aggregates (khandhā) having roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by mental development, the aggregates accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca-sahagata), and delusion (moha), arise.
