[954] A phenomenon (dhamma) whose roots are to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya), both for a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned by seeing and for a phenomenon whose roots are to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva dassanena na bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka):
Each preceding set of aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) is a condition, by repetition condition, for each subsequent set of aggregates accompanied by doubt and for delusion (moha).
