[999] A phenomenon (dhamma) with roots to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by development and a phenomenon with roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena-na-bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka); it is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); it is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
