[162] A not-root phenomenon with roots (nahetu sahetuko dhammo) is a condition (paccaya) for a not-root phenomenon with roots by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); it is a condition by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); it is a condition by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya); it is a condition by kamma condition (kamma-paccaya).
A not-root phenomenon with roots is a condition for a not-root phenomenon without roots (nahetu ahetuko dhammo) by object condition; it is a condition by connascence condition; it is a condition by decisive-support condition; it is a condition by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya); it is a condition by kamma condition.
