in the object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), three;
in the predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya), nine;
in the proximity condition (anantara-paccaya), three;
in the contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya), three;
in the conascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya), nine;
in the mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), six;
in the dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya), nine;
in the decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), three;
in the prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya), three;
in the repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya), one;
in the kamma condition (kamma-paccaya), nine;
in the non-disappearance condition (avigata-paccaya), nine.
The enumeration for the negative method (paccanīya) should also be done in this way.
The Dependence Chapter (nissaya-vāra), too, is similar to the Condition Chapter (paccaya-vāra). In the Conjoined Chapter (saṃsaṭṭha-vāra), too, in every case there is one; (stated) in brief. With non-disappearance as condition (avigata-paccaya): there is only one question (pañhā). Both chapters, too, should be done.
