[231] Dependent on a phenomenon with impingement (sappaṭigha dhamma), a phenomenon without impingement (appaṭigha dhamma) arises, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): dependent on the eye base (cakkhāyatana), eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) [arises]; dependent on the body base (kāyāyatana), body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa) [arises]. Dependent on a phenomenon without impingement, a phenomenon without impingement arises, by object condition: dependent on one aggregate (khandha) without impingement, three aggregates [arise]; [dependent on] two aggregates … At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the base (vatthu), the aggregates without impingement [arise].
