[394] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with taints (āsava) is a condition for a phenomenon associated with taints by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya): nutriments (āhārā) associated with taints are a condition for the associated aggregates (khandhā) by nutriment condition.
A phenomenon associated with taints is a condition for a phenomenon dissociated from taints by nutriment condition: nutriments associated with taints are a condition for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by nutriment condition; nutriments accompanied by grief (domanassa), accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) are a condition for delusion (moha) and for mind-originated forms by nutriment condition.
