[28] A not-root phenomenon (na-hetu dhamma) is a condition for a not-root phenomenon by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya):
Nutriments (āhāra) that are not roots are a condition, by nutriment condition, for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandha) and for mind-originated forms (citta-samuṭṭhāna-rūpa). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) is a condition, by nutriment condition, for this body.
