[155] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not-root and accompanied by roots (na-hetu sahetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not-root and accompanied by roots by way of nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya): three.
A phenomenon that is not-root and rootless (na-hetu ahetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon that is not-root and rootless by way of nutriment condition: nutriments (āhāra) that are not-root and rootless are a condition for the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates (khandha) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by way of nutriment condition; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), edible nutriment (kabaḷiṅkāra āhāra) is a condition for this body by way of nutriment condition.
