[283] An internal phenomenon (ajjhattika dhamma) is a condition for an internal phenomenon by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya): at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), internal nutriments (āhāra) are a condition for internal kamma-born materiality (kaṭattārūpa) by nutriment condition.
An internal phenomenon is a condition for an external phenomenon (bāhira dhamma) by nutriment condition: internal nutriments are a condition for the associated aggregates (sampayuttaka khandhā) and for mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by nutriment condition.
