[617] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with hindrances (nīvaraṇa), a phenomenon associated with hindrances arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three. Conditioned by a phenomenon dissociated from hindrances, a phenomenon dissociated from hindrances arises by root condition: conditioned by one aggregate (khandha) dissociated from hindrances, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; [conditioned by] two aggregates … rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi); one great element (mahābhūta); conditioned by the base (vatthu), aggregates dissociated from hindrances [arise]. Conditioned by a phenomenon dissociated from hindrances, a phenomenon associated with hindrances arises by root condition: conditioned by the base, aggregates associated with hindrances [arise].
