[701] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with misapprehension (parāmāsa), a phenomenon associated with misapprehension arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three (cases), similar to those in the dependence chapter (paṭicca-vāra). Conditioned by a phenomenon dissociated from misapprehension, a phenomenon dissociated from misapprehension arises by root condition: conditioned by one aggregate (khandha) dissociated from misapprehension, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; conditioned by two aggregates … ; rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), up to the internal great elements (mahābhūtā); conditioned by the base (vatthu), aggregates dissociated from misapprehension [arise].
