[434] With a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with clinging (upādāna-sampayutta) as condition, a phenomenon associated with clinging arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): three (cases), similar to the paṭicca (chapter).
Dependent on a phenomenon dissociated from clinging (upādāna-vippayutta), a phenomenon dissociated from clinging arises by root condition: with one aggregate (khandha) dissociated from clinging as condition … as far as the internal great essentials (mahābhūta); with the base (vatthu) as condition, the aggregates dissociated from clinging; with the base as condition, greed dissociated from views (diṭṭhigata-vippayutta lobha).
With a phenomenon dissociated from clinging as condition, a phenomenon associated with clinging arises by root condition: with the base as condition, the aggregates associated with clinging; with greed dissociated from views as condition, the associated aggregates.
