Sahetukaduka

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (3) · Vol. 42 · Section 88

[88] A phenomenon with root (sahetuko dhammo) is a condition for a phenomenon with root by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya): similar to the proximity [condition] (anantara). Adverting (āvajjana) and life-continuum (bhavaṅga) do not exist in the repetition condition; they are to be excluded — in all nine [sections].
