[87] A phenomenon with root (sahetuka dhamma) is a condition for a phenomenon without root (ahetuka dhamma) by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya): postnascent aggregates (khandhā) with root are a condition for this prenascent (purejāta) body by postnascence condition.
A phenomenon without root is a condition for a phenomenon without root by postnascence condition: postnascent aggregates without root, and delusion (moha), are a condition for this prenascent body by postnascence condition.
A phenomenon with root and a phenomenon without root are a condition for a phenomenon without root by postnascence condition: postnascent aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā) or accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), and delusion, are a condition for this prenascent body by postnascence condition.
